4 Premium wild Alaskan halibut fillets (~6 oz.), frozen or thawed

1 Tablespoon paprika

1 ½ teaspoons each dried oregano and dried thyme

1 teaspoon each onion powder and garlic powder

1 teaspoon each black pepper and salt

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste

1 ½ Tablespoons butter, melted

  

Directions

1 Preheat broiler/oven or grill to medium-high heat.

2 Mix all dry seasoning ingredients until well combined.

3 Pat dry with a paper towel.

4 Place your wild Alaskan halibut on a spray-coated or foil-lined baking sheet.

5 Brush melted butter onto the top surfaces of the halibut.

6 Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of the seasoning mixture over the buttered halibut. (Note: For best results with frozen fish, cook for 4 minutes before adding butter and spices.)

7 Grill or broil the fish 5 to 7 inches from the heat source.

8 Cook for 13 minutes for frozen halibut or 8 minutes for thawed.

9 Cook just until the fish is opaque throughout.

10 Once cooked, serve immediately.

11 Store the remaining seasoning mixture in a glass jar for future use.
